1. What is Septic-Flow Shock?
Septic-Flow is NOT an enzyme or bacteria.
Enzymes and bacteria have a great place in a septic system for the monthly digestion of wastes and solids, however, they do nothing to address sodium (soap) build-up in the drain-field soil. The average household of 3-5 people injects over 60lbs of sodium salts into the septic system annually.
Over time this causes a significant build-up in the drain field soil, causing it to lock up and not accept effluent water over time. This creates "deadpan" or "hard soil" and usually leads to digging up the entire drain field system and installing a costly new one.
Septic-Flow Shock is a septic tank maintenance shock liquid that helps reverse clogged-up, deadpan soil in a safe and effective way!
2. What does Septic-Flow Shock do?
Septic-Flow Shock helps chemically aid in reversing "deadpan" or "hard soil" that forms after years of sodium building up in the soil.
Septic-Flow is a tried and true method to get your septic field flowing again; used since the 1950s to help free-up and reduce the soil surrounding a septic tank in order to get it flowing again.
3. How do I know how much Septic-Flow Shock to use?
The amount of Septic-Flow Shock to use for best results depend entirely on tank size:
Most average homes with 3 to 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms generally have a 1500 gallon tank.
If you know the size of your tank then for every 1500 gallons you’ll use 2 gallons the first week ( dumped into the toilet or into the septic tank directly) and then wait two weeks and dump in 2 additional gallons which will show results within 4-6 weeks.
Repeat to increase results speed.

7. Why should I maintain my septic tank/system?
A key reason to maintain your septic system is to save money! Failing septic systems are expensive to repair or replace, and poor maintenance is often the culprit. Having your septic system inspected (at least every three years) is a bargain when you consider the cost of replacing the entire system. Your system will need pumping every three to five years, depending on how many people live in the house and the size of the system. An unusable septic system or one in disrepair will lower your property’s value and could pose a legal liability. Other good reasons for the safe treatment of sewage include preventing the spread of infection and disease and protecting water resources. Typical pollutants in household wastewater are nitrogen phosphorus, and disease-causing bacteria and viruses. Nitrogen and phosphorus are aquatic plant nutrients that can cause unsightly algae blooms.
