Thank you for trusting Septi-Flow
Step-by-Step Instructions
1) Know Your Tank- Maintenance
For a 1,000 to 1,500+ gal tank, Pour 1-2 gallons of Septi-Flow directly
into the toilet & pour another 2-3 gallons directly into the distribution box.
Septi-Flow can also be injected into irrigated soil (6-12 inches below the surface) of the leech field to help expedite the process.
2) Backed-Up?
For septic backups, ensure your septic tank is pumped. This will remove excess water and allow Septi-Flow better movement through your septic system and the drain field, leading to a more effective chemical reaction.
3) Give it time to work
Allow 3 - 6 weeks for the proper reaction to occur. Septi-Flow is safe around shrubs, trees, and grass when used as
directed.
We Know That You Have Questions.
We Are Here To Help!
What does Septi-Flow Shock do?
Septi-Flow Shock Liquid helps to chemically reverse "hardpan" or "compacted soil" that forms due to sodium buildup in the soil over time.
What do Septi-Flow Flushable Packs do?
Septi-Flow Flushable Packs release bacteria and enzyme packs that liquefy organic waste, promoting proper system functioning and eliminating odors.
Can I use both Septi-Flow Products in conjunction with one another?
Absolutely! When using both flushable packs and Septi-Flow Shock Treatment, use them separately and allow 1-2 weeks between each use.
How do I know how much Septi-Flow Shock to use?
To get the best results with Septi-Flow Shock Liquid, the amount you need to use depends on the size of your tank. For tanks that hold 1,000 to 1,500 gallons or more, it's recommended to use one 4-gallon pack of the liquid shock on average.
▪ If you're trying to fix a slow-draining or clogged system, it's best to pump the tank before adding the product. However, this step is unnecessary when adding the product for maintenance purposes.
What will Septi-Flow not do?
Septi-Flow Liquid Shock treatment requires water flow to be effective and will not work if the soil is completely saturated. It does not harm the microbes in your septic tank.
What is the difference between the Septi-Flow Shock Treatment and the Septi-Flow Flushable Packs?
Septi-Flow Shock Liquid treatment is designed to break down sodium and sulfate build-up from soap and softeners commonly used in homes. This treatment helps to prevent clogged pipes and promotes a healthy plumbing system.
In addition to the shock liquid treatment, Septi-Flow offers Flushable Packs containing monthly doses of bacteria and enzymes. These packs are highly effective in breaking down organic waste, thus promoting proper system functioning and eliminating unpleasant odors.
How long after treatment will I see results?
Typically, it takes 3-6 weeks to see average results, though we have observed improvements in as little as 7-10 days. However, if the bacteria in your septic system have not been appropriately maintained, it may take longer to see significant improvements. This may vary depending on the severity of your system.
How do I know this product is what my system needs?
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure that any system is working optimally. However, if you are experiencing slow drainage, excessive backups, or overflowing drain fields, it may be time to consider having your septic system pumped. The most effective way to determine the state of your septic system is to have a professional assess the situation. Even when using Septi-Flow, it is recommended that you have your septic tank pumped before using the product unless you are adding it for maintenance purposes.
