Mange Is Mites That Are Living Just Under The Skin Of Your Pet Pal And Causes Them Intense Itching And A Lot Of Pain.
Mange can come in two different forms.
Knowing and understanding these can help you find relief for your furr-baby and yourself, in some cases.
Sarcoptic Mange ( Scabies ): These are highly contagious to other animals and can even be passed on to humans. Scabies is caused by circular mites that can live in your dog’s skin for long periods. They live just under the surface of your pet’s skin and burrow, which causes intense and intolerable itching.
Symptoms of this condition include intense itching, skin infections, patchy fur losses, and crusty and red sores on the armpits, stomach, chest, and abdomen.
Demodectic Mange ( Demodicosis ): This form of Mange is not contagious to other animals. Still, it can be passed along hereditarily from mother to pup. This form of Mange is immune-deficient dermatitis, meaning the dog has little or no immunity against it.
This type of Mange shows slight hair loss in the early stages around the face and forelimbs with little discomfort or scratching. In neglected cases, the dog can go bald and have open infected sores.
*A disposable washbasin is recommended to avoid any reaction with a bathtub. If you wish to use a household bathtub, a small test spot is advised before proceeding.

Mange can also be passed to humans; however, they can not survive with human hosts. For the human host, these pests will cause intense itching and irritation before they eventually die under the skin. As long as your furry best friend suffers from this condition, you will likely also suffer from bouts of these creatures.

1. Combine 25 mL of Naturasil for Pet Mange into a disposable container with 2 oz. Water and 5 oz. of any shampoo you choose (baby, pet, or regular adult).
2. Apply the combined solution well throughout the pet's fur, being careful not to get in the eyes or mouth of your pet. All hair and skin should be covered with shampoo.
3. Leave for 5-7 minutes, then rinse and air dry.
4. Save any leftover combined product for the subsequent treatment.
5. Repeat every 5-7 days. Provides for 2-3 medicated baths.
Mange will start to subside within the days and weeks ahead.
**Good quality food and immune system boosters are recommended to help build the immune system and speed the healing process.
Do Not Apply Directly To Fur Without Mixing With Water And Shampoo.
Use A Disposable Wash Basin In A Well Ventilated Area:This solution is a Sulfur-Lime Concentrate, so that it will have a powerful smell.
Remove All Porous Jewelry Before Opening: Metals like Silver will turn black when put into contact with this solution. Another reason is that we recommend using something other than a bathtub to apply this mixture. It might stain the silver of the tub's drain ring.
Use A Bottle With A Pointed Tip: We recommend using a bottle with a pointed tip, like the bottles used to dye hair. This works well to shake and mix the product thoroughly; the pointed tip also gets the mixture to the bottom of the hair.
Use Gloves When Applying The Solution: This is a concentrate; like all concentrates, it is potent. Use gloves to avoid stinging or burning open cuts or thin skin on your hands when mixing and applying.
Try To Keep Your Pet Entertained While The Solution Sits: This mixture needs to sit for between 5-7 mins to work correctly. Try to keep them occupied with small treats and nibbles, or (our personal favorite)let them lick frozen peanut butter out of their favorite Kong toy. At the same time, you hold it for them**.
**Remove the gloves before handling any of your pet's food**
Never Put This Solution Directly Onto Your Pet! We must emphasize that this is a concentration and is not meant to be used as is! Always add this product to shampoo and water before use.

In the cases of Sarcoptic Mange, this highly contagious pest is passed from animal to animal when they are in close proximity to one another. Playing and wrestling with another dog at the park or brushing up against a stray cat. However, it is important to note that Sarcoptic Mange can come from things as well as other animals such as a pet resting in another animal's bedding or kennel. The Pet Mites could have fallen off the last animal and been in the material of the bedding or on the floor of the cage/kennel, crawling onto your pet and transferring to them.
In cases of Demodectic Mange [Demodicosis], this is not contagious to other healthy, adult animals. It is immune-deficient dermatitis.
Mange is extremely itchy for your pet and it is likely that this itch if left untreated, will lead to a secondary infection that could be dangerous and deadly to your furr-baby.
Medicated baths will help soothe your pup and help with the itching. Clipping your pet's hair back can help any open wounds (from over itching) to breathe and consulting a Vet for medications like creams or oral treatments can help you control the spread of the infestation even further.
Unlike human mites (Scabies Mites) that can only live a few days without a host, Pet Mites (Mange) can live without a host for up to 6 Days (at room temperature) and even longer at temperatures below 60° F. Cleaning your pet's beddings, toys and cages is essential to ensuring that your home is rid of these pests. As your furr-baby scratches and itches, it is likely that the mites moved to the bedding, the carpet, the couches, and even under their nails. As you pet/scratched your dog or cat, you might have even gotten them under your nails as well.
Cleaning, disinfecting, and trimming nails (both you and your pets) are vital to making sure that this infestation does not continue repeatedly.

Remember that cleaning and disinfecting your home are your first line of defense against the re-infestation of your
