“Mite” is a term commonly used to refer to a group of insect-like organisms, some of which bite or cause human irritation. While some mites infest animals or humans, others are scavengers feeding on plants, insects, and other arthropods.
There are nearly as many different types of mites as there are insects.
Mites are usually spread by direct skin-to-skin contact with someone with mites. Contact must be prolonged; a quick handshake or hug usually will not spread mites. Mites are spread easily to partners and household members.
Mites are also spread indirectly by sharing articles such as clothing, towels, or bedding used by an infected person.
Mites can be found worldwide and affect people of all races and social classes. Having mites does not indicate someone's cleanliness.
The most common signs and symptoms of mites are small, raised bumps on the skin. There may also be swelling or blistering.
After the initial eggs are laid, symptoms can take 6-8 days to get severe. Eggs are oval and 0.10 to 0.15 mm long and hatch in 3-4 days. The larva will then migrate to the skin surface, burrow into a molting pouch, and remain there for another 3-4 days before becoming a nymph. The nymph becomes a larger nymph before molting into an adult.
On a person, mites can live for as long as 1-2 months.
Off a person, mites usually do not survive more than 48-72 hours. This is one of the many reasons we offer a medical-grade disinfectant to accompany our pest solution products. Ensuring a clean and sanitary environment is essential to keep the infestation from returning!
Mites do not survive more than 2-3 days away from human skin.
Carpets and furniture should be carefully vacuumed to remove dead mites, eggs, and excrement that could still be in the fabrics.
Countertops and frequently touched surfaces should be wiped down with a disinfectant. Our BenzaRid Disinfectant is perfect for deep cleaning and disinfecting your home of residual contaminants.
Items such as bedding, clothing, and towels used by a person with mites can be decontaminated by machine-washing in hot water and drying using the hot cycle or by dry-cleaning. We highly recommend using our ElimiMite Natural Enzyme Concentrate in your wash to penetrate and lift the dead mites, eggs, and excrement from all your washable bedding, clothing, and other washables.
Items that cannot be washed or dry-cleaned can be decontaminated by removing them from any body contact for at least 72 hours. Scabies mites will die if exposed to a temperature of 50°C (122°F) for 10 minutes. Putting the item in direct sunlight would also help kill the mites.
Because persons with mites are considered very infectious, carefully vacuuming furniture and carpets in rooms used by these persons is recommended.
Fumigation of living areas is unnecessary.

(100 % Diatomaceous Earth) is composed of finely milled fossilized shells of microscopic organisms called diatoms. It is a light dust that clings easily to the bodies of insects as they walk or crawl over it. Unlike boric acid dust, which works best when ingested, Crawling Insect Control Dust only requires contact with the insect to be effective. The dust then absorbs the waxy cuticle surrounding the insect, causing the insect to dehydrate and die. When using our Control Dust, we recommend sprinkling it over furniture, mattresses, and hard-to-vacuum places. Allow the powder to set for a few hours before vacuuming. *Diatomaceous Earth is considered non-toxic by industry standards. However, we always advise caution when using it around children and pets.
Works to kill mites as it disinfects and sanitizes. Our medical-grade spray is safe for children and pets when dry but strong enough to kill the mites. Use this spray on furniture, floors/carpets, and nonporous surfaces. Let the spray dry thoroughly before use on nonporous surfaces (counters/tiles/vinyl/glass/plastic). Let the spray dry on porous surfaces (furniture/carpets), then follow with a thorough vacuuming. Always do a small surface test for tolerability and look for any reaction before using the product.

Tea Tree Oil, deemed “a medicine cabinet in a bottle,” is one of the most commonly used and versatile essential oils in the land of all essential oils. It is one of the inactive ingredients in our treatment solutions because of its many healing properties.
Tea Tree Oil has anti-inflammatory properties that make it helpful in relieving the discomfort of itchy skin. It soothes the skin and can also help heal infections that cause itchy skin. These anti-inflammatories also help to soothe and relieve painful and irritated skin. It is believed to aid in reducing redness and swelling.
Sulfur is a chemical element that is present in all living tissues. This ingredient is the only Active ingredient in our cream. The healing properties of sulfur have been used for centuries, and Sulphur is the oldest anti-scabietic in use.
In ancient and medieval times, medical practitioners frequently used sulfur powder inside and outside the body to heal many ailments and illnesses, including as a vermifuge (deworming agent).
Sulfur exhibits many attributes meant to help the body, including antifungal properties, antibacterial abilities, and keratolytic activity. (Promoting the loosening and exfoliation of the skin.)
Helianthus Annuus (sunflower) seed oil is a non-fragrant plant oil used as an emollient (moisturizer). This oil is one of the inactive ingredients, and it helps to contribute to the calming properties of our solution.
The sunflower is native to North America and was utilized as a crop by indigenous tribes over 4500 years ago. Among its many uses, sunflower seeds were discovered to be an excellent oil used in cooking and cosmetics today.
The linoleic acid in the oil can help replenish, strengthen, and soothe skin. Sunflower seed oil also has a naturally calming effect on the skin, so it can help reduce signs of skin stress or irritation.
Pesticide-Based Treatment Options might be something your doctor recommends for you or that you consider when treating Scabies Mites for yourself, but be very careful when considering this option. All Pesticide-Based Treatments prescribed or bought over the counter contain a whole cocktail of chemicals! These chemicals include Permethrin, Lindane, Benzyl Benzoate, Malathion, and Ivermectin.
Pesticide-Based Prescriptions and Treatments can have serious side effects and put you in danger.
These side effects could range from moderate to severe*.
More mild symptoms would include:
More severe reactions include:
Pregnant and Nursing Mothers
No adequate studies have been done on pesticide-based products to determine if they are safe and effective for pregnant women. It is unknown if these products enter breast milk; therefore, it is best to be cautious before using them in breastfeeding mothers.
These alarming signs and symptoms come with Pesticide-Based Treatments because these treatments are full of poisons and chemicals. What critical damage could happen to your body over long-term use is still unclear.
These poison-based prescriptions are meant to kill the infestation on your skin. Still, scientists have noted over the years of treatment with these products that there has been a slow yet alarming increase in Scabies immunity to the pesticides used in the creams, pills, and oral treatments.** The high dosage of chemicals in these treatments has led to scientists looking for new and more responsive treatment methods. As the Pesticide-Based Treatments stand now, their dangerous chemicals have reached their limit for human use and consumption. Increasing the dosage of these chemical-based products would be life-threatening to people using the products.
Many Pesticide-Based Treatments are ineffective because they do not kill the Scabies Mites in all of their life cycles!
As the eggs and larva continue to survive in the chemicals that coat your skin, the infestation mutates to resist the treatment. The scabies mites become completely immune to the treatment at that dosage. The dosage can not be raised any higher because the prescriptions and medicines on today's market are at the highest levels deemed usable for humans.
Our Naturasil Scabies Complete System works because our system kills all stages of the Scabies Mites life cycle. The Scabies are unable to live through the treatment. Since they die, the bugs are unable to develop a resistance to our products.
